FAQs

Cardinal Financing is a unique solution that aims to accelerate enterprise robotics adoption in the US. We deploy capital towards enabling RaaS financing by purchasing robots and leasing to end customers at a 5% annualized rate. We underwrite the end customer and our capital ensures we pay manufacturers the price for robots upfront. If you are a robot manufacturer or a business looking to deploy robots in your enterprise, get in touch with us

We will work with you to understand your needs and help you get robots financed at the best possible rates. We ask for minimum documentation based on the size of the transaction and once approved proceed with financing. We collect monthly dues from customers and strive to pay the manufacturer within 30 days of receipt of first monthly payment. Based on creditworthiness of parties in the transaction and the type of financing preferred, the interest rates would be agreed upon.

Financing is based upon a variety of factors. Foremost, it depends on the quality and reliability of the robot as well as its track record. Secondly, it depends on the creditworthiness of the customer. We strive to help small enterprises and allow concessions in documentation for deals with total value <$1M. Lastly, the amount underwritten will depend on the nature of contract between manufacturer and customer.

We partner with multiple financial institutions. Once we collate customer and deal data, we will run a credit check with all our financing partners to ensure we get you the best rate. Different financial institutions have different priorities and risk profiles, hence offer attractive rates for different transactions. We ensure standardization of terms and conditions to ensure you get a seamless experience.

Once financed, the robot is owned by Cardinal Financing and will be recorded on the books of our financial partner.

We are flexible in the collection of monthly receipts. Typically, where we receive 100% of the monthly payments we prefer to collect the monthly receipts ourselves. In the event that we are not receiving 100% of the monthly receipts (i.e. the manufacturer retains some portion for services or software etc), we prefer the manufacturer to receive the monthly payment and pass on our share to us.

Yes, we can get only hardware underwritten on the basis of the Bill of Materials. In this case, we shall collect only commensurate monthly receipts.

We prioritize the protection of data. We have implemented data classification and handling protocols to ensure the appropriate level of protection is applied to each type of data. We use encryption for sensitive data, both at rest and in transit, to protect against unauthorized access.Depends. A lot rides on the value financed to total transaction value, creditworthiness of buyer, and track record of robots.

Your best interest is at the forefront at the end of contract life. A couple different scenarios could play out. Depending on the quality of the robot, it could either be scrapped or re-leased. If re-leased, it could be to the same customer or another. Lastly we also provide the manufacturer with the option to buy the asset back from us. End of contract life clause is something that we like to mutually agree upon with you.

End of life valuation is based on FMV of the asset. If the manufacturer is willing to agree to buy out the robot at the end of life, we could decide valuation caps upfront.

Leases are typically non-cancellable. However, in the event of termination, we would seek to recover the sum of remaining lease rentals plus the FMV of the asset. This value could either come from a new rental with another customer or if the manufacturer agrees to buy out the asset.

The manufacturer is responsible for O&M, warranties, and replacements. Specific clauses in our standard contract will guide this. We also provided standardized O&M services for an additional cost.

We undertake activities similar to any financial institution in the event of default. However, we will work with all involved parties to find a win-win solution.

Customers must have an insurance certificate that covers the value of the robot(s). This will be reflected in standard documentation to be undertaken

Cardinal Robotics is building a marketplace for robotics. We offer a multitude of solutions which include financing, cybersecurity solutions, deployment and operations solutions
